Patricia Conlin, President
Patricia Conlin, a University of Western Ontario HBA graduate, founded Global Consulting Group Inc. (GCG) in 1991, after a successful career in Executive Search and Account Management.
Patricia’s vision of a company that can provide a superior service in Executive Search and Recruitment has been realized over the years. With a list of loyal clients ranging from large corporations to small innovators, she and her team consistently deliver quality candidates for critical hires.
Patricia brings passion, strategic focus and professionalism to each project along with drive, tenacity and integrity. She uses her extensive contacts and persistence to find the right person for each role. The number of client testimonials, and long-term GCG clients, confirm Patricia’s success as an outstanding leader, mentor, and enduring business professional.
Patricia's range of experience includes executive positions to line managers in a number of core verticals including Healthcare, Engineering and Information Technology. Recent clients include Cancer Care Ontario, Allerpharma Healthcare, Tim Hortons, Home Depot, Johnson Controls, TGO Consulting and Juvenile Diabetes Association of Canada.
Patricia speaks French, German, Spanish, and some Russian. She was the first Woman in Canada to earn a Black Belt ranking in the Martial Art of Shoot Wrestling after 10 years of dedicated training and competing. She was invited to be a part of The Canadian Olympic Team in Barcelona, Spain and the International contingent with UNESCO in Russia. Patricia also plays soccer on a competitive women's team.
Gail Chambers – Director, Recruitment
Gail is an experienced recruiter for a variety of industry sectors and functional areas. These include, Executive Recruitment and Contract Recruiting for Management, Project Management, IT, Scientific, Engineering and Sales & Marketing roles, and within sectors such as Healthcare, IT, Government , Engineering and Pharmaceutical among others. She brings her business savvy, her passion and professionalism, along with her warmth and humour to all of her recruiting projects.
Gail is committed to finding the right people for each project, and to building high quality, long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.
Gail attended the University of Toronto as an English major. Gail is currently completing courses at Durham College to obtain her Human Resources Management, Post Graduate Certification.
Gail has curled for over 10 years. Gail recently played Vice position on a Mixed-Competitive team which was ranked in first place at the end of the 2008/09 season in the highest and most difficult competitive division in the club, the "A" Division. Her team earned their names on the club trophy as winners of the 2009 season.
Shelley Millman – Director, Coaching Services
Shelley Millman earned her BA in Sociology at Concordia University in Montreal, and her MBA at McGill University/University of Ottawa. Shelley also has a strong financial background, and has studied to earn most of the credits towards her CA designation.
Prior to joining Global Consulting Group (GCG) in early 2005, Shelley gained extensive industry experience working at senior levels of Human Resources (‘HR’) Management for national organizations, and professional firms. In this capacity, much of her role entailed on-going coaching of employees, managers and executives, so as to encourage high levels of job satisfaction and productivity. She also has expertise in career coaching and outplacement consulting, having worked for an international outplacement consulting firm and having managed her own HR Consulting practice prior to joining GCG. Shelley has superior communication skills including a proficiency in the French language.
Shelley is also a part-time college professor where she teaches both business and HR management courses, including "Advanced Business Communications" and "Training and Development" at Seneca College, in their HR Applied Degree program. She has published articles in professional magazines (CA magazine; HR Professional magazine) on subjects such as Leadership Coaching and Work/Life Balance (which can be found on our website).
Shelley leads the Leadership/Life Coaching and Outplacement Consulting/Career Coaching services on behalf of GCG. She is dedicated to providing superior client service, with a commitment to quality and professionalism. She is known for her warmth, candor and dedication to all of her clients who truly value her quick insight and effective guidance.
