Search Methodology

GCG Client

Phase 1

Initiating Search

The process begins with a detailed profiling of the client and specific strategies to attract top talent to the client organization.
• Search Agreement signed
• Consultation with client management
Together we formulate an in-depth template to provide a clear understanding of the ideal candidate for the open position.
• Includes search criteria and specific job details (position, salary, location, experience, education, leadership, advancement opportunity, best way to promote role, suggested candidates/companies to contact, or not to contact).

Phase 2

Strategic Search

We utilize out 15+ years of experience to identify exceptional talent through our active and direct recruitment and thorough interview techniques.

• Conduct professional candidate search using our extensive industry contacts.
• Network with targeted companies and contact select candidates ensuring absolute discretion.
• Search GCG database with over 50,000 active candidates, and our job board data bases.
• Contact our National Personnel Associates (NPA) partners and access NPA data base which services Canada and the USA.
• Comprehensive interviewing of qualified candidates to assess fit, technical and personal skills, and motivating factors for seeking new position.
• Create a short list of carefully selected qualified candidates

Throughout the strategic search phase you will be contacted with regular progress updates and informed of timelines for project completion. Each short-listed candidate will be presented to you with detailed notes and a resume for your review.
• Review of preliminary results and schedule interviews with potential candidates.

Phase 3

Client Interview

We fully brief both clients and candidates prior to their meetings.
• Candidates are prepared and scheduled for interview.
• Second/Final interviews booked as necessary.
You will receive candidate feedback from GCG following interviews. We will pre-close finalist candidates on compensation, motivation and interest in role to help ensure a successful placement.
• Decide appropriate company officers to be involved in interviews with the prospective new hire and schedule first interview.
• Give detailed feedback to GCG on interview impressions.
• Organize second or any final interviews that may be necessary to determine fit with company and role.

Phase 4

Reference Verification and Presentation of Offer

We offer superior reference checks, and detailed notes on the finalist candidates so you will be confident you are hiring the right person for the position.
• Verify professional references and other information as required (ie criminal
record, education etc)
• Present detailed report to client
• Candidate provided with advice on avoiding counter-offers and coached on the resignation.
• Verbal/Written presentation of offer to the candidate with the involvement of the client.
• Offer acceptance and delivery of signed contract.
Congratulations! You have now made the decision to hire a qualified, motivated and serious candidate who will make a significant contribution and commitment to your organization.
• Prepare formal offer for candidate, including all relevant aspects of the position being offered.
• Final signed employment contract received from GCG.

Phase 5

Job Transitioning and Client Integration

We will provide any necessary guidance to candidate and client to maintain a smooth termination and job transition phase.
• Confirm conditions of employment and facilitate start date of candidate.
• Follow-up with candidate and client after start date to maintain communication
and obtain feedback.
You will receive one of the best placement guarantees in the industry.
