Manager, Business Analysis Practice

Our Client requires a senior level Manager to lead the Business Analyst Service Line of the IT Strategy Consulting Practice. This role will require someone who can work with executive leaders and stakeholders in our client organizations to develop plans that bridge the gap between business and IT and facilitate technology solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness, maximize business value and enable business growth.

As a recognized leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Providing strategic and practical advice to IT and business leaders
• Facilitating the Business Analysis Planning process
• Evaluating the current business and IT environments to identify requirements, vulnerabilities and opportunities
• Demonstrating knowledge of market and industry trends and challenges
• Providing insight and options for analyzing business needs and producing tangible requirements
• Developing and managing strong relationships with clients at all levels
• Supporting the development of methodologies and tools to support delivery
• Leading the development of the Business Analysis Offerings
• Providing business development support and identifying opportunities for downstream engagements
• Preparing proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) for client engagements
• Overall responsibility for the personal and professional development of business analysts
• Responsible for developing and maintaining methodology, processes, best practice and standards, and ensuring they are used appropriately by team
• Provide project consultancy on methodology, documentation and approach
• Develop, maintain and deliver the Business Analysis practice plan
• Identify, propose, sell and lead Business Analysis Opportunities for clients
• Work with other practice leaders from across company to share skills, knowledge and develop common methodology
• Recruitment of Business Analysts
• Conduct performance appraisals

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities and experience;
• Business Analysis Strategy development and implementation planning
• Expertise in areas such as RUP, UML and other Business Analysis techniques, tools and processes
• Familiarity with the issues associated with managing IT in large, complex organizations
• Minimum of two years of experience leading Business Analysis Practice
• Minimum of five years of experience in consulting
• Ability to support business development through proposals and client presentations
• Industry and business research, assessment and insight development

Candidate requirements:

Bachelor level education in a technical degree
Experience within multiple industries – particularly large enterprises
Experience with Business Analysis Processes and Methodologies with relevant examples
Familiarity with a broad range of computer hardware and software, application development and processes
Ability to impact and influence
Ability to sell consulting to executives
Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and manage multiple clients
Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to integrate well into internal and client teams
Candidates must be able to:
• Travel within the GTA and surrounding areas with occasional travel (30%) outside of the GTA
