Senior Consultant, Java Portal Development (v.10)

Position Description:

The ideal candidate will want to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where he or she works closely with our internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will want to be on the cutting edge of technology, exploring exciting areas of our clients and their clients future business while keeping up the standard of being leaders in the industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist in analysis, design, development and testing of various java based application components.
* Assist project manager with technical tasks
* Leading technical teams (developers on-shore/off-shore) and SA’s
* Deployment planning/coordination
* Interface with customers and setting expectations
* Controlling project scope

Required Work Experience:

* At least 5 years experience in an IT development environment
* At least 5 years Java/J2EE development experience
* At least 4 years experience developing with WebLogic Portal (V8++)
* Exposure and Experience Weblogic V.10

Required Education:
* University/College Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related disipline

** Applicants who are Sun Certified are preferred

Soft Skill Requirement:
* Excellent written and verbal communications
* Ability to extract specifications from clients

Technical Skill Requirement:
* Java/J2EE
* Weblogic
* Oracle
* SQL
* JDBC, Web Services, EJB's

Preferred Other Technical Experience:
* Experience developing applications for Telecom businesses
* Provisioning Experience
* Experience developing applications for Financial businesses
* Order Fulfillment
* CRM

Travel Requirement:
* The successful candidates must be willing to work within different areas of the GTA (Mississauga, Markham, GTA, etc.)
