JOB TITLE: Enterprise Architect, Healthcare Systems

LOCATION: GTA

SALARY: UP to 130K

Due to ongoing growth and success for our IT Consulting Client in the Greater Toronto Area, they are now actively seeking an experienced Application / Enterprise Architect with subject matter expertise in the healthcare field to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role, reporting to the Senior Executive Consultant for client’s Architecture practice in the GTA, the successful candidate will:

• Collaborate with IT professionals on developing qualified responses to client requests for proposals (RFPs):
• Understand enterprise and solution architecture concepts, values, methodologies, and differentiators
• Manage and utilize an inventory of successful architecture methodologies and approaches
• Successfully conduct assessments of current architectures, recommend future architectures and document a road map to implement future architectures.
• Work as a solutions architect on application development projects, creating artefacts that will successfully communicate the desired system architecture to key stakeholders (business owners, project managers, systems designers, developers, infrastructure architects, data architects etc.)

As part of this team, the successful candidate will:

• Evaluate the current architecture of a major healthcare system and assess it based on documented goals and requirements.
• Identify gaps between goals and requirements and actual performance
• Create a road map with immediate and future actions to close out gaps and achieve the desired future state.

Required Work Experience:

• 10+ years working in the IT industry with progressive experience as a developer, solutions architect and enterprise architect
• Knowledge and experience with enterprise architecture standards such as Zachman frameworks and TOGAF.
• Experience with architecture assessments.
• Experience in developing on-time, quality deliverables in a short-term, rapid response project or work environment
• Demonstrated mastery of concepts such as n-tiered architecture, EAI, object-oriented programming, internet eCommerce architecture, SOA and modeling tools
• In-depth experience with common development frameworks such as J2EE and .NET.

Required Level of Education (include certifications):
4 years college or university (B.S, / B.A.)

Other Requirements:

• Overtime may be required depending on calendar month, as RFP’s are seasonal in nature
• Flexible work locations can be arranged if candidate is successful in demonstrating the ability to produce high quality deliverables within given time constraints
