Senior Consultant, Strategic Sourcing / Procurement & Supply Chain
Our client, a leading IT consulting firm, is currently searching for a Senior Supply Chain / Procurement consulting professional. Candidate will have experience in Procurement related initiatives including Procurement Organizational Transformation, Procure to Pay, and eProcurement. Candidate will support sales and delivery of Supply Chain Procurement Consulting projects in the GTA area and must be experienced in the following procurement processes:
• Full P2P
• Vendor Management
• Contract Management
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing
• eProcurement
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Procurement Transformation
• Re-organizing procurement organization within existing client structure to better service end users, define end-user requirements, and to surface incremental opportunities for improvement via new strategies, tactics, processes, and tools
• Developing roles and responsibilities that align with the business strategies and objectives of the Procurement Group and provide clear guidelines of division of responsibilities
• Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements in the areas of purchasing transactions, supplier management, strategic sourcing, performance analytics, compliance tracking
eProcurement Implementation
• Developing case for action / business case and planning eProcurement implementation
• Implementing eProcurement technology including the development of business requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, build, go-live and roll-out of software
Procurement Business Process and Functional Design Streams
• The development of level 1, 2, and 3 procurement business processes (full P2P, supplier / vendor management, contract management)
• Ability to ensure integration of procurement processes with ERP functional processes to eliminate gaps
• The development of procurement functional specifications
Capabilities and experience;
• Bachelor’s degree and / or a Masters degree (In a business, supply chain or operations related area)
• 5 - 8 years experience as an internal or external consultant
• Experience in eProcurement implementations, strategic sourcing and procurement transformation initiatives
• Experience with purchasing systems and ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
• Professional Procurement Qualification is a plus
• Experience in healthcare industry is a plus
• eProcurement/eSourcing technology experience, in particular SAP, Emptoris and/or Ariba skills is preferred
• Strong business and industry acumen
