Senior Project Manger

Our client, a leading IT consulting firm is currently searching for experienced, senior-level Project Managers to provide professional project management solutions to clients across a variety of business verticals.

Senior Project Managers lead projects on large multi-tier, multi-stakeholder engagements.  Their key responsibilities include development of statements of work, development of detailed work schedules, team management, work package and deliverables management, coordination and management of client reviews and approvals, vendor and subcontractor management, risk management, budget/contract management and reporting. 

Required Work Experience

A minimum of 7-10 years of general IT and project management experience is required.

Experience working with budgets of $3 million+.

Experience heading a team of 10+ members.

Experience dealing with multiple client/customer stakeholders.

Industry experience – Experience in a management and/or project management role in one or more of the following industries is required:

1.       Healthcare

2.       Banking

Experience in more than 1 industry is desirable

Education:

University or college level degree program in IT and/or business

PMP certification is highly desirable

Additional project management training and certifications are desirable.

 Skills:

Strong communication skills (listening, verbal and written)

Strong presentation skills

Demonstrated success in negotiation skills

Deep analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to converse with and manage technical resources

Experience with development and delivery of staff performance assessments

Excellent estimation and scheduling skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project applications

Familiarity with IT concepts and System Development Life Cycle

Experience operating in a shared services organization is an asset

Experience in hospital operations (business and/or clinical) is an asset

ERP / SAP experience is an asset

Other Requirements :

Flexibility to travel to client project sites across the GTA.
