Corporate Manager – IT Infrastructure and Development
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CIO, the Manager, IT Infrastructure and Development, is responsible for the development and growth of a dedicated group of 20 technical professionals, 200+ servers, 105 applications, 7000 end-user devices, and a range of client-facing IT services, all delivered across 10 physical locations. Services include server-based computing, systems development, desktop imaging and deployment, identity and access management, data and voice communications, telephony, storage (including PACS), and web-hosting. Resources include technologies from Microsoft, EMC, Cisco, Meditech, PICIS, Citrix, and a high availability data centre.
Working with other members of the Information Services management team, you will build processes, procedures and skill sets, develop and performance-manage staff and services, and lead the group to an SLA-driven rigor, in a collaborative and performance-oriented 7x24 environment. Key responsibilities include operational excellence, vendor management, and infrastructure strategy.
You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external. You will ensure optimum service delivery to the broader organization, driving improvements that improve services to the end user – all in support of improved patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
: · Post-secondary education in information technology, science, engineering and/or a related discipline.
· Current MCSE certification; ITIL Foundation Certificate a strong asset.
· Minimum of three (3) years IT operations management and/or team leadership experience, ideally in Ontario healthcare.
· Strong familiarity with privacy and security principles. Knowledge of healthcare information systems an asset.
· Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high availability IT services in accordance with ITIL IT Service Management principles, governing incident, problem, change, release and configuration management.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clinical and administrative staff and leadership.
· Strong technical knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory, Cisco and Nortel voice and data systems, and server virtualization. Familiarity with Meditech, .NET, SQL Server an asset.
· Demonstrated experience in defining, measuring and achieving Service Levels Agreements.
· Demonstrated experience in cost management and continuous improvement.
· Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive efficiencies and manage demand. Bias for leveraging partnership opportunities.
· Metrics-driven, with a strong personal commitment to quality and customer service.
· Skilled communicator in both verbal and written mediums.
