Senior Consultant, IT Strategy

Our client, a leading IT consulting firm, requires a senior level IT consultant to be part of the IT Strategy Consulting Practice. Candidate will work with executive leaders and stakeholders to develop strategies that facilitate technology solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness, maximize business value and enable business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
•           Providing strategic advice to IT and business leaders
•           Facilitating the IT Strategy Development and Planning process
•           Evaluating the current business and IT environments to identify requirements, vulnerabilities and opportunities
•           Demonstrating knowledge of market and industry trends and challenges
•           Developing and managing strong relationships with clients at all levels
•           Supporting the development of methodologies and tools to support delivery
•           Contributing to the development of the IT Strategy Offerings
•           Providing business development support and identifying opportunities for downstream engagements
•           Preparing proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) for client engagements

Skills and experience:
•           Strategy development and implementation planning
•           Technology infrastructure / architecture assessment and solution development
•           IT transformation expertise in areas such as application rationalization, infrastructure alignment, service management, outsourcing, or post-merger integration
•           Familiarity with the issues associated with managing IT in large, complex organizations
•           Minimum of two years of experience within an IT Strategy role
•           Minimum of five years of experience in consulting
•           Ability to support business development through proposals and client presentations
•           Rapidly assess IT implications of business strategy and vice versa
•           Industry and business research, assessment and insight development
•           Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills
•           Strong facilitation and presentation skills
•           Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and manage multiple clients
•           Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments
•           Strong interpersonal skills and ability to integrate well into internal and client teams

Other Requirements
•           Bachelor level education in a technical degree
•           Experience within multiple industries – particularly large enterprises
•           Knowledge of IT planning methodologies with relevant examples
•           Familiarity with a broad range of computer hardware and software, application development and processes

Candidates must be able to:
•           Travel within the GTA and surrounding areas with occasional travel (40%) outside of the GTA
